Gossip: Bamend made movies V Buea made movies, which is better? Read

The Cameroon Film Industry is growing rapidly in quantity and in quality. However, there remain a big gap in movies produced in Bamenda (NW) and those produced in Buea (SW). But why are there different and in what ways? Lets attempt a distinction.

1. Bamwnda Movies (NW)
Bamenda movies are good in storyline but poor in presentation. For example a movie produced in Bamenda will have a good script, good actors but the quality of equipment used in shooting the story brings down the quality of the story and cast. Again, most movies produced in Bamenda would hadly have an eye-catchy poster. Moreover, movies produced in Bamenda ends in Bamenda and are never premiered. Bamenda producers are very simple and welcoming.  Lets look at some posters of Bamenda made Movies so you judge for youself.

Then lets look at movies produced in Buea (SW)

2. Buea Movies (SW)
Buea movies are generally eye-catchy at first sight. Buea movie posters are often very attractive which encourages viewers to want to watch the film. However, some of the stories are too fictious and confusive to the audience. Buea movies are mostly talking about love and relationship. Buea producers however uses quality equipment in the shooting of their movies. A fan told Cam Movies that Buea film makers are too proud and difficult to approach. Buea made films can be purchase at first glance of the poster before regreting at home if the movie is not up to expectation. Lets take a look at some posters of movies produced recently in Buea so you be the judge.

  1. So so true Cam movies, I like true true talk. Bemenda films are educative and interesting. In Buea it is about ego and self glorification. Ninah's Dowry is a bemenda film and not the best of Camera was used but is is the most successful because it has a good storyline

  2. the only truth that comes of this article of what ever it is this is, is aa certain ignorance of everything. first what is a bamenda film and a buea film? is it a film shot in bamenda/ buea? a film with a bamenda cast shot in buea/ bamenda vice versa? is it shot in bamenda with cast and crew from bamenda and buea? this is stupid. is film only because of story line? do you know anything at all about film?
if your have not been able to learn and write english properly, do you think it is a subject a complex as film that you will understand or write about?
and please do not talk about Ninah's Dowry as if you know anything about it. first it is not a bamenda film, it is a Cameroon film. the camera was not low quality (whatever that means ) and it is not great only because it has a good storyline. please keep your extremely diluted notion film for your quartier arguments.

  3. I agree with the above writer. There is much to film/movie than just what people see n think. Bamenda or Buea films, come on, there are a lot of co production going on these days between the two towns. Did u know that most of the cast n crew in Ninahs Dowry are not even Bamenda based people? It was shot in Bamenda becoz of the story's LOCATION needs. So if i leave Bamenda to Buea to shot, makes my film/movie a Buea film or verse-versa? I personally dont think these article is true n acurate, lots is being said so un-maturely n with lack of research on the subject. Please, there exist entertainment critics, but dont criticize something you dont know nor understand. Be Proffessional, thats our entertainment wish...

  6. Well i think all of these movies are Cameroonian movies. They might be some differences depending on how you judge it but i think we are one industry. However, i will agree on the point that posters design in the NW region needs some improvement.

  7. All said as of now.I know Cameroonian(southern cameroonian) people are great pple, great producers, great story tellers infact great film makers.Lets use our lil expertise in unison with each other's.Buea and Bamenda gives us unity and as we all know unity is strength. All we need is a lil merging of efforts and we'll explode with prosperity filma, and otherwise.Let's work as one pple and not give a damn abt being Buea or Bamenda for in this our unadultrated stage in film making we don't need that difference. It can't take us any further.Love you all and PEACE guys.
