Feedback: Cam Movies Merit Award (CMMA)


It was true when we announced  2 months ago that NOVEMBER 2012 was a turning point for the CFI. November saw the launch of the following movies;

"Rage" by Kang Quintus at Hotel residence Carlos
"Troubled Kingdom"by Fred Keyanti & Mairo Sanda at Hotel Residence Carlos
"Slave Dream" by Henry Obama at SOA

November 2012 was not just significant for the above movie launch, but it saw the birth of the Cam Movies Merit Award. The Cam Movies Merit Award  (CMMA) which was at its first edition, registered a great Success with over 1000 guest from all over the country.



The Red Carpet event which was held at Hotel Residence Carlos in Muea - Buea, brought in guest of honour, actors, actresses, producers, directors, editors, DOP, TV, Musicians, Comedians, Soccer legends, journalist, models, designers, businessmen etc from all over the national territory. TV channels present were; CRTV- Hello, Equinox TV, CNTV (USA), CMTV, HITV, Homebreeze ETC.  Newspapers and online media  were also very visible, among them were; TIPTOP STARS, TOPNOTCH, The Post and more.



A total of 21 trophy was handed out to those great people who worked so hard in the course of the year to put our industry on the road map to greater achievement. The winners and the nominees deserves our appreciation for the wonderful job they did in the course of 2011/2012.

On behalf of CAM MOVIES, Fred Keyanti, Mairo Sanda, Samson Tarh, Charlette Tiolong,Gwendoline Tatah, will like to thank every one that contributed to the successful organisation of the Hangout Party (Launch &CMMA). We will like to thank particularly the ATS Production in Douala, which took the contract to put up such a wonderful show. We will also like to thank Hotel Residence Carlos Buea for their support towards the successful realization of this event. We will like to also thank Tiptop Stars, Topnotch Mag, AGE Production, the Hostess and a host of others that added value to the event.

We want to thank veteran Indomitable Lion Goal Keeper Bell Joseph Antione for his presence, support and for believing in Cam Movies and forgoing his trip to Morocco just to attend this great event. We will like to thank Thiery, the great Cameroonian actor who traveled from Europe and accompanied Bell Joseph Antione to the CMMA.

We will like to encourage every one to send us their feedback as we prepare for the 2013 CMMA. We promise to use your ideas and suggestions to improve on the wonderful work we did in 2012.

We will also like to announce that submission for 2013 have started and it will close on the 31st of May 2013. For those in Cameroon, please submit your films at Hotel Residence Carlos in an enclosed A4 enveloped, addressed to the Cam Movies Merit Award, C/O Samson Tarh. For those in the USA, Submit your films to the Cam Movies Merit Award, C/O Mairo Sanda in Atlanta. For those in South Africa, Submit your films to the Cam Movies Merit Awards, C/O Charlette Tiolong, Cape Town South Africa. More submission points will be identified soon and the public will be notified. Where we have not yet identified a submission point, Films could be sent to the nearest submission point mention above.

Note that copies of films will not be returned and will only be used for screening by the Jury for the 2013 Cam Movies Merit Award. The cost of posting will be borne by the producer and Cam Movies shall not be responsible for any lost in transit. All producers sending in films by post must do so via registered mail.

We want to wish all our celebrities success in advance for all their activities in 2013. We shall stand by CFI till we beat Hollywood.
